I don’t know how many people comb through new releases on bandcamp as aggressively as me. I know that I do it at a cost of spreading myself too thin but when I come around something like this, something so new, pioneering, and beautiful- that’s why. Beautiful gems that deserve to be heard. This is one.
There’s folk new age that’s been out about since at least the 1980’s but ambient that’s primarily folk instead of vice versa. Conceptually, it’s obvious, but the execution certainly is not. I don’t know if this is a realized vision or just what came out relatively unforced by the artist. Whatever the process this is something truly special and AOTY list worthy.
