White has now established himself as a consistent powerful intelligently curated hip hop artist. Tens of millions of streams indicate I’m not the first to the party but I still think he’s on the cusp of either dropping off or dropping a legacy defining magnum opus. That remains to be seen. He has an interesting and endearing backstory that he leverages into his material giving it a celebratory vibe that references perseverance and ultimately overcoming obstacles. His sound is often exotic with Oriental sounding hooks and this release has no shortage of features that add a lot of spice without threatening his leadership. I hope he stays safe and avoids artistic stagnation and fulfills his total potential.
