Full disclosure since my review of his debut ( https://birdboyblizzard.music.blog/2022/01/20/creeksoft-by-gmradiox/ ) i’ve become online friends with GMRadioX but my deep enthusiasm for this record is rooted in the quality of the music; not the man. I mean, I’m keeping it objective, if that sounded weird. Even though my initial review was very positive I like this one and that one better now (even though this one didn’t exist at the time)… this music reminds me of Lambchop. It’s an entirely different approach but the laidback ambiance is there.
No one else is doing this. It’s unique and revolutionary. Truthfully, it’s one of the very few truly pioneering musical efforts I’ve heard this year. It works perfectly and is a no brainer for my AOTY list.
