Ortman is, in my opinion, the hottest violinist on the scene right now. She’s skilled, experimental, aggressive, and most importantly intensely engaging. This has dissonance that leans into Penderecki. It’s a single twenty minute live track, and a Fire Over Heaven release. I’d love to actually get to see her live but there are exciting videos of her playing.
