First, I want to say how important it is that we honor Tricky and acknowledge how much he’s given us and how profoundly he changed pop music forever.

He’s also overcome great personal adversity including the death of his mother as a young child and more devastating the death of his daughter by suicide in 2019.

On this EP, he introduces us to a new talent, Marta Zlakowska. She does a tremendous job of filling the role and it remains to be seen if she can catapult her career. She has a great voice but after checking out her soundcloud it’s my opinion that she needs to have her work carefully curated artistically. She can’t go wrong working with Tricky but I’d like to see her move in an original direction maybe somewhere between Lana Del Rey and Sophie. I know those are high hopes but she’s been given the shoulder of a giant to stand on.
