Ambient is a fine genre and this is a fine release that just so happens to sound exactly like a million other releases since around 2010. It’s pretty. It’ll drown out unwanted noise pollution with a good pair of noise canceling headphones and you can add it to your ambient music playlist shuffle. It deserves to be part of the pack.
Jogging House have already released three albums in 2023 and honestly more is not more. Actually, I’m starting to unfollow bands with too many releases. If I’m interested in a band I don’t want it it to be more time consuming than it’s worth to explore their discography. A record a year is still a lot. Perhaps, this would’ve benefited from some more time to analyze the recipe or more work. Like an acoustic instrumentation, perhaps a classical guitar or field recordings of birds or children playing. It could use a little more spice.
