I actually like these albums, the Infinity Pool ost and No Highs, put together on shuffle better than listening to them separately straight through. Don’t tell Tim. There’s one track where he teams up with Colin Stetson. I think the two could be the next Fripp and Eno if they worked out a couple full albums together. They should get Eli Keszler in the band while they’re at it. Everybody likes Ravedeath the best, probably correcly so but I also like his bebut Haunt Me, Haunt Me Do It Again a lot. To be fair, they both got good reviews. I still think he’s got it but the genre is catching up with him. Stetson and Keszler can’t be caught and the difference is the separation that comes with virtuosity with acoustic instruments. But Hecker wields rare talent as well. It’s just harder to find the separation at this point. He would still be the best man for the job in this imaginary band I’ve dreamed up. The texture he could add… it’s a hot fantasy. These albums I’m reviewing are great, though. I bet Infinity Pool is a cool movie but I haven’t seen it yet.
