The selection of instruments is great: hammered dulcimer, guitar, and sax. There is so much potential here a the droning foundation provided by the other two musicians is certainly fertile ground to work with but Cole Pulice doesn’t do their part. The saxophone sounds like a drunk Kenny G on a bad day. Honestly, there’s so much potential here the other two ought to try it again with a capable musician. This would be hands down five stars with Colin Stetson.
