Pär Boström is a pioneer of the sound that the entire Cyro Chamber label hangs its hat on.
Star Lore is tagged both dungeon synth and dark ambient and even though fans of both of those genres are likely to enjoy this release it’s neither. No big deal, it’s adjacent so whatever.
The question I have to ask myself as a reviewer is can a release as subtle as this really have something to offer and it does but on the other hand it doesn’t really stand out that much either. It’s good but this is genre has settled into a groove where the artist can follow the recipe and voilà there it is.
Pär Boström was one of the original musical chefs that created this recipe so like I say above if you’re a fan of the genre this is for you. If you’re looking for a starting place I’ve given you one. What else you could you ask for?
