The sound on this one is like 1940’s serial compositions but with a looser improvised feel rather than the austere feel of the written music from that era. The artists are a duo from Indonesia. The three stars are pretty much obligatory based on competency and vision. It’s not ranked higher because there is a lot of music like this already and it doesn’t stand out from the crowd in a distinct way. I commend these musicians for taking on a laborious artistic endeavor that receives little recognition but even I need a little something more to return to swhen the competition is so vast and creative.
