If you’ve never heard this band before I recommend starting with their earlier material. They took quite a while since their previous release and while the song writing and vocals are both extremely strong I like the way the older stuff is recorded better. This album has a very full sound but their older stuff has a more interesting slightly hollow lo-fi sound.
If you know this band you probably know they’re a lot like Broadcast and Stereolab and just by a smidge they’re not quite on that level. So I’m saying if you like those bands you’ll like this but if you don’t know those bands you got more important homework to do.
