One of my high school teachers once declared that she didn’t know what a joy stick was and I’m quoting this verbatim “but I find the name very intriguing”. I doubt she suspected that I enjoyed that special little aside so much that it would still excite me 35 years later.

I struggled a bit deciding what genre to call this. The Blade Runner / Vangelis is strong so I was thinking cyber-something but it also reminds me early Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze’s solo stuff in general (I know that’s a huge swath of music). It’s more rhythmically pulsating than what I tend to think of Hearts of Space stuff but I’m not 100% if that matches up to the reality of what’s really been on that show. Ultimately, I decided it’s in the galaxy 🌌.

I love the cover art.

The composers name is Nikola Vukovic. Not much on Google but I think that’s a Serbian name.

Anyway, this is a good listen. It’s a good label. Good stuff.
