First off, thanks to the band for making this available for free. It seems like every record that comes up on my bandcamp feed is missing half the record. Some of these musicians are so obscure I’m like “Really?” cause I know they couldn’t sell anything half off to their own mothers. Even if it’s on Spotify I usually won’t review it. Musicians, I implore you, if you need money, play live. Speaking of which, Pink Dolphins, are touring right now. Here are some of their 2022 tour dates

I’m closest to Louisville. Nine hour drive. Meh. It’s been forever since we’ve had any good live acts here. So yeah, this album is a banger. With Jaimie Branch in the band is there anyway it could possibly miss? She brings incredible energy. She’s a riot. She’s the spice. She’s the steamroller.

Besides Jaimie Branch this band has Jeff Parker who is actually the real jazz royalty in the band. His name commands respect and his resume is total fire: AAMC and Exploding Star Orchestra.
