Sometimes I really feel pressure to get the right words out there. I’m pressed for time this morning but I want to get this review out. Two and half listens in, I’m telling you this is one of those that’s going to… let’s say that this is the start of a long friendship with this album. ‘Til death do us part.

It’s retro and austere. Early electronic pioneer electronic work. Third wave post-Schoenberg atonality. Anthony Braxton song titles. All that is a solid recipe for highest ratings. But you can hear it right away. You can feel it, even in all the abstraction. This music is highly emotive. It’s spiritual, or whatever you want to say. You can feel it instantly in your gut. All that stuff about being human and mortal and all that.

Definitely AOTY level stuff. So good.
