The percussion is the tension builder and the electronics exploits your stress and had me worried that I haven’t taken my blood pressure medicine. Maybe it’s everything else going and my late night glued to the bed listening but this one got under my skin more than anything I’ve listened to in some while.
The percussion reminds me of Crash Worship, especially an early cassette release of theirs called This. Then the electronics reminds me of a band I reference too often but Throbbing Gristle.
Despite my previous ignorance these two are veterans of the experimental music scene. Respect for the hard work for little reward.
This is a surprisingly powerful and unnerving record. If your life isn’t bad enough or perhaps this is your comfort zone this is a good one to get to know.
