LH is essentially an avant-garde keyboard / guitar improvisation. Both musicians are very aggressive and adventurous. There’s a touch of old school electro-acoustic and musique concrete about it but the guitar is often angrier than the early pioneers. Both musicians have a healthy sense of ego which drives the compositions into some chaotic directions at times but there are other moments where they take turns showing deference to one of another with a skilled free jazz sense of intuition. And then again sometimes they’re directly on the same page driving a musical idea home with force and in tandem. The entire thing is a blast to listen to and there really isn’t that much of this type of thing going on so they’re filling an important void as abstract improvisational music marches on.
