Even though I got the chance to interview the guy it’s still easy to wonder who’s who when it comes to the The Forest Kids Collective. The deal is all the artists in The Forest Kids Collective are all the creations of the brilliant Paul G. Marchesani who has created something unique. His discography is like continuing chapters in book written by different musicians all of whom are actually different personas of him. No one else has ever done anything like it.
The bottom of the bandcamp notes here say he wrote everything but I think this is actually a legit collaboration with Ozymandias’ Dream separate musician altogether.
These are an excellent collection of chill hop beats. My favorite current chill hop artists are Behind Clouds and C Y G N. Even though I think this is just a smidge below that stuff it’s still very good and worth a listen.
L a z u l i _ y e l l o w ,one of Marchesani’s Forest Kids characters was my second most listened to artist on Spotify last year, btw. I’m a huge fan.
