I think I had this mixed up with something else in my head because after listening to it when I googled to see what sort of buzz, if any, it has created, I expected this to have garnered a lot of attention. Instead, it’s been sadly largely ignored the best that I can tell.
Well, that’s what I want this blog to be about: shining light on what deserves more exposure.
This record functions in the tradition of In a Silent Way and now that half a century has passed (FIVE DECADES!!!) Miles’ seed finally seems to have penetrated our stubborn egg.
WPH, one of a few aliases, is a brilliant guitarist. Plays outside of the arrow of chronological time with beautiful tone. Creating something like a musical equivalent to the aurora australis.
Should be on many AOTY lists. Will be on mine.
