Artist Sean Conrad cites Bert Jansch as an inspiration in the bandcamp notes and that doesn’t necessarily mean he saying he’s mimicking that style. The track Serpent in the Sky comes the closest in my mind but I’d say it’s closer to Nick Drake (in spirit if not technique). The two piano tracks remind me of I don’t know who. I’m tempted to say George Winston but nah. Nonetheless, I do think this carries a lot of the good from Windham Hill. The final track, Thinnest Crescent is especially William Ackermany.
Wherever it comes from, I’m digging the peaceful, meditative instrumental vibe.
