Artistic genius Paul G. Marchesani’s musical universe Forest Kids Collective member RANDEL .the ghost released a creepy record on Halloween.

What Marchesani has created is something that is agonizingly obvious after the fact. That’s what a purely revolutionary musical or any artistic idea is. Adding time signatures anchored to tempos set to the metronome. Composing in specific keys. Abandoning keys. Rapping instead of singing.

Marchesani has adopted the spin-off nature of fictional universes – commonly associated with comics- and has moved the concept record into the third millennium. I could use Tommy, or Quadrophenia, or Animals as an example to explain it but let’s go with The Wall. If you know anything about The Wall, you know it has a cast of characters. Occasionally, Waters composes in first person form from the perspective of individual characters, especially on The Trial. We hear from The Honorable Worm, The School Teacher, Mother, and Pink.

The logical step, that no one has thought of, except for the pioneering Marchesani, is too make entire records from the first person respective of the individual characters. RANDEL .the ghost has his own style and as a fan you can follow his career independently of the rest of Marchesani’s universe or collective, as he calls as it, like the one man Wu-Tang Clan that he is.

RANDEL .the ghost made a creaky cracky ethereal record with E M P T Y that probably sounds like Mariah Carey to Casper.
