Chester is a very talented guitarist that plays these pieces with sharp precision and perfect tone.
Turlough O’Carolan was an Irish composer who lived from 1670 – 1738. He is still deeply revered in Ireland but somewhat under appreciated around the rest of the world. This is a good chance to brush up on his music.
John Cage is considered one of the most important American composers ever and a defining figure in the twentieth century avant garde. This is a melodic piece I know pretty well but I’ve never heard it transcribed from the piano to the guitar before. The translation and execution is beautiful.
This is a short and excellent listen.
