Very short vaporblurbs. Songs this brief might seem undeveloped outside of punk but it definitely works here. I think part of it is being an experienced listener. Can you catch what’s being conveyed here? Like the short stories of Raymond Carver. It’s carved down to the minimum. The most economical out of respect. The artist presents it. Assumes you know what’s up. And you feel it. Like a smile can mean more than a conversation. And, in a way that’s unusual for vapor these tracks feel distinctly sad.
