Joe Morris actually plays drums on this one and quite competently as well. He’s not doing Buddy Rich imitations but he relates well to Noah K, who plays tenor and soprano. The music is very soulful and holds that alluring quality found in good modal jazz. I’m pretty familiar with Joe Morris (but not as a percussionist) but I really need to hear more of Noah K. There’s a lot to choose from.
