Self described as “dungeon synth” complete with a fun by kitschy cover but the quality and professionalism of this music transcends its presentation. I’m not trying to shit on dungeon synth as a genre. I’m actually quite a fan as previous reviews will show. This however, shows the advanced compositional sensibilities of the likes of Hans Zimmer and Howard Shore. Hopefully, Pathworn Pilgrim is able to cash in on their talent and land a big budget film score and find access to a top tier orchestra.
