These are solid compositions. And they’re very subtle. Three’ s a good rating and that means I liked it but it also means I think it could be better. These could be Library Tapes compositions but truthfully they’re not as intriguing or engaging. Besides piano there are strings on this but they don’t sing out… they don’t reach out and grab you and move you. They complement the piano and sit politely in the corner. Honestly, there’s nothing wrong with that but, like, if someone is flirting with you at a party, but you’re more interested in the person standing alone by the window, that person must have je ne sais quoi. I like this music but I’m not seeing that here.
