Functions like an orchestra. The beats are like texts that got lost on a dead phone that never woke up but kept on dreaming. Like the best of this genre it turns nostalgia on its head: wistful, luminous, inspired, dazed, reality wrapped in droning visions somewhere between sleep and psychoanalytic misdiagnoses.
A genre can become datura. Or just saturated like a tree too heavy with apples. Even if there are more apples than you could ever eat you’re still going to be like this is a really really good super juicy apple. Unless you can’t appreciate or don’t like apples or whatever it is.
