This is a four song EP which is really equal parts trip hop / dream pop. There are certainly echoes of Portishead but in many places it’s more gothic. The songs lean heavy into their genres for composition which is much better than leaving their lane and crashing but if they were just a touch more clever or catchier this has the potential to be next level more. Nonetheless, the musicianship is excellent and the female vocals are flawless. Really right on vocals are so rare to find when you’re searching for new bands (or new to you) and this really has it.
