Found this little gem on Bandcamp today. Two musicians who can really play taking some time to really play. Apparently heavily inspired by William Ackerman, the music comes across as very sincere but the song titles feel like they’re poking a little fun at themselves as well. The song writing is a touch more modern day ambient ambiguous compared to the actual Windham Hill releases of that era but not by much. I’m not sure if the critics ever came around on that stuff but there’s pure gold in dem (Windham) hills. These guys, and I’m inclined to think they are male but don’t really know, really hit the nail on the head with this one. Just what the doctor ordered to recover from that last however fucking long it’s been insane (forever?) and a great chill out to start the weekend and I’ll be tuning in again on Sunday morning.
