This album accomplishes a lot. Ambient-drone seems to be showing signs of having run its course. And similarly vapor in its common form seems to be spinning its wheels. But this album gives the listener the engaging mindfully aware peacefulness of great ambient music as well as the hauntological possessions on that end of the spiritual spectrum. Whether this gets the love it deserves or not, it’s an important 2021 release and is uniquely of our time.
