This is a peculiar release by Rob Michalchuk who plays piano on the recording and (I think) runs the very indie label it’s released on, Poor Little Music. The first four tracks are piano and drums with Michalchuk on piano and includes an interpretation of Yesterday. It’s not nearly as abstract but it kind of reminds me of the Shaggs in the way that I can’t quite put my finger on what musical universe it’s coming from. The songs are straightforward enough but then when you think well what kind of music is this it’s suddenly hard to say. It concludes with a noise track but it’s not especially harsh or in your face. You definitely get the feeling this band had nothing to prove.
