Déjà Vu

Déjà Vu turns 51 today. Let me take a moment to express my gratitude. This was a statement the sixties were gone but the change was here to stay. From every bit of my life that was enjoyable because of the bites out of the cultural status quo taken by the long haired hippy freaks who paved the way for the punks and post-punks and the deconstruction of post-modernism warts and all – thank you – thank you for fertilizing the soil that nourished my brain and allowed me to grow in a wider less oppressive paradigm. Rejoice, rejoice, we have no choice but to carry on. It hasn’t been easy half a century later but thank you for doing so much to make it in anyway possible at all. You’re revolutionaries.
