Plunderphonics is trickier business than it might seem at first. Now that novelty has worn off the artist really has to touch something to standout. The next song has to surprise you and make you feel like it was always unavoidable in a serendipitous way. This includes some choice picks but they don’t capture the warped MTV nostalgia nor do they put the brain on a thematic wavelength.
