Unlike a lot of drone and ambient that is at least a kissing cousin to this recording Swedish Aindulmedir dares to throw their hat in the ring with those willing to play melodic themes. Writing a decent melody is a rare skill and we’re not dealing with the next Daniel Johnston here. However, their gothic stylings work well enough to get the job done. It’s not quite D&Dish enough to be lumped with dungeon synth. It’s more like a poor man’s laptop Drudkh.
